Lockheed Martin`s Engineering Explorers Post is designed to give area high school students a behind-the-scenes, first-hand experience with aerospace engineering and technology. The Aerospace Explorers Post is open to all area High School students. Student participants meet every other week for 8 months and will hear from industry experts on various space programs including Genesis, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, Atlas, and Orion. Student participants will also complete a number of hands-on engineering activities and will compete in three project design competitions.
As a final project, student teams will design and build a capstone project with an aerospace-related objective. Engineer advisors mentor students throughout the program, and student participants will also have the opportunity to tour Lockheed Martin`s Waterton facility.
