Aviation Career Education (Ace) Camp hosted by SHADES OF BLUE / OBAP

SHADES OF BLUE co-hosted along with the Organization of Black Airline Pilots a four day Ace camp. 50+ students and parents participated in the events which consisted of a visit to Lockheed Martin Rocket Facility, a tour of the Air Force Academy, a day at United Airlines Flight Training Center, a day at the Wings Over the Rockies Museum, a course taught by the Space Foundation on micro-gravity, and an airplane ride to experience micro-gravity from the Young Eagles hosted at Front Range Airport in Watkins, CO. Students filled out surveys before and after the event. The majority of the students enjoyed the events and expressed an interest in pursuing careers in aviation or aerospace.
