Join us for one unforgettable evening as we recognize and honor former and current astronauts and space aviators.
Invited guests include:
Astronauts Ed Dwight Jr., Charles F. Bolden, Guy Bluford, Yvonne Cagle, Alvin Drew, Victor Glover, Bernard Harris, and Leland D. Melvin, among others, were invited guests.
In addition to honoring the achievements of astronauts in space, Chief Apostle Dr. Kenneth W. Curry, certifying agent for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, will present the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award to individuals who have excelled in their area of community service and gone
above and beyond the call of duty.
Presidential Volunteer Service Award Recipients include Mr. Bruce Atlas, Former Chief Operating Officer of Ontario International Airport; Major General Charles F. Bolden Jr, NASA Administrator and 4-time astronaut (ret); Astronaut Dr. Yvonne Cagle; Dr. Karen Daniels Ivy, Associate Dean, University of Arizona Global Campus; Astronaut Dr. Bernard Harris First African American to walk in Space; Astronaut Leland D. Melvin; United Airlines Captain Tony Marshal (ret); Dr. Felton Williams, Past Chair of the Council of Great Cities
Schools; Dr. Katherine G. Johnson, NASA Mathematician (posthumously).
